Q&A: Engineering?

Query by Dia: Engineering?
I`m a 10th grade girl and am interested in engineering-particularily mechanical. My math and science background is very good-I have often been in the sophisticated courses. I`m trying to decide if I ought to go into engineering simply because I long to design and style and boost our planet, but I had disliked a robotics and inventions class that I took. I`m not in enjoy with math, but I`m fascinated by machines and how they work. What`s it genuinely like being a mecha engineer?

Yay, more females in the engineering field! I would recommend a plan I took my sophomore year at higher school named SUMMET. It’s hosted by CSM or Colorado College of Mines. It is totally free and will give you a very great concept about what becoming an engineer is all about. You live on campus for three weeks and take freshman engineering courses. You finish the plan carrying out a project with a group. It is entertaining stuff.

Mechanical engineering wasn’t my interest I went with environmental engineering. I do know that your very first two years at a school will be precisely the same for any other engineer. I know that mechanical engineer degrees have far more emphasis on math and physics than chemistry and biology.

Reading what you said I think you will take pleasure in the field of engineering. After you get by way of the standard slogging by way of calc, chem, physics, I think you’ll actually get pleasure from it.
